We purposefully bought an "affordable" player b/c it would be primarily used by our son. It's 3 days after Christmas and the DVD door has already broken. It's held in by a cheap little spring that popped out and that I can't get back in - I think there's a small piece of plastic broken off the door itself. The door still fits and it still plays DVDs, but now I have to open and close the lid manually to change the DVD out. Not a big deal, but extremely frustrating on a brand new item. Otherwise, we haven't had any other problems with the player.
